THE RETROFIT ACADEMY
The Retrofit Academy CIC was established in 2016 by David Pierpoint CEO leading the development of the Retrofit Coordinator qualification and the establishment of the Centre of Excellence. David is considered one the UK’s leading experts on retrofit education and works closely with TrustMark, BEIS and BSI in supporting the transition to delivering whole house retrofit. He serves as a member of various committees and steering groups for BSI, TrustMark, BEIS and the UK-GBC.
David was previously CEO at CoRE, the national centre of excellence for retrofit (2013-15) and prior to that spent over a decade running sustainable construction exhibitions and conferences. David is also the CEO of Osmosis, a consultancy supporting social landlords to understand retrofit and develop net zero strategies.
The Retrofit Academy CIC is at the heart of delivering leading-edge training and professional development to a new generation of retrofit professionals in the UK.
The Academy’s vision is a world where every home is warm, healthy and low carbon. They have developed a programme of exemplary training and professional support for Retrofit Coordinators and other roles created by the BSI PAS 2035 Standard.
The Retrofit Academy is central to driving PAS 2035 compliance by shaping retrofit best practice, sharing our technical expertise with industry and its clients and advancing the sector through the Centre of Excellence. Members of which include almost 100 local authorities, social landlords, installers and accreditation schemes.

FABRIC
Fabric are a not-for-profit Community Interest Company facilitating/designing/developing housing projects in urban and rural settings throughout the UK with a specific focus to allow them to be co-designed by the residents, ensuring they are affordable and sustainable. Alongside projects promote aspects of co-housing and enable the inclusion of other community-related resources and services (such as shared renewable energy, permaculture and healthcare).

OLDHAM COLLEGE
Oldham College was established in 1893 after a donation from the Platt family, a famous textile machinery manufacturers. This led to the institution of the school of art and science in the town centre.
Today, the College offers an extensive range of qualifications in a variety of areas including their brand new state of the art facilities for construction and the built environment.

THE MANCHESTER COLLEGE
Since uniting in 2008 The Manchester College has been at the heart of Manchester life for decades. Since then, the college has continued to expand their offering and invest in Greater Manchester communities, opening new campuses and Centres of Excellence, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in learning and training. Today, the Manchester College are the number one provider of 16-19 education, adult education and higher education in FE in Greater Manchester.
